BT telecommunications tower, Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire. Built in the early 60’s as part of the UK’s communications resilience network. One of fourteen towers throughout the countryside, this one stands 99.4 metres tall. Its original use was to facilitate the distribution of microwave transmissions, which were considered more resilient during the Cold War era. The tower is largely stripped of equipment now, most of the data having been shifted to fibre optic networks.

A visit to Applestore cafe for lunch (the buildings top right) situated in an arboretum. A very pleasant little place. The reservoir is Wyresdale Lake with the slopes of Nicky Nook to the left.

We have one on the edge of Cannock Chase. You can see it from miles away and just before J13 M6 on my way home. Always a reminder I’m nearly home!

First time poster, hope I’m doing this right. Went on quest to find where some noisy bangs and flashes were coming from. Dji Mini 4K maxed out on ISO 3200 and ~1sec aparature. Despite the moon it was a dark night but this fluke caught some missile launchers in a local park.

Yes it is. We used Arrochar as our base and toured around different areas each day.
