The Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye

Beloved by photographers as one of the ‘must see and must capture’ spots on Skye, with myriad photos of how awesome they are - perhaps I was expecting more from all the hype, but still, the clear blue waters of the pools is something unique and special, even if the ‘classic photo’ can only be achieved from one viewpoint with a very wide angle lens - and there was a queue of about a dozen folks with lots of gear waiting to take their turn to capture the shot…

Still, it is a decent walk, with a long steepish decent - and consequently a hard uphil slog back - but at 1000am on a Thursday morning we were not expecting to have quite so many folks around…

Keeping with the Lord of the Ring’s Theme of my recent Skye video’s - Tolkien was inspired by Skye - this music suggested itself to me, and I think it works…

Lovely colours. Looks like potential for some interesting abstract photos looking down, like the earlier part of the video.

If I may be so bold, it looks like the video is a little over sharpened? Though it could be my new iPad :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks Adrian…

Hmm, oversharp, will look at it and ammend my workflow if needed - I am following the recommended AIR3 detail by reducing in drone and then lowering in Resolve to 46, but I will try a little less…

Another great vide :+1: :+1:

Lol, I know in summer plenty swim, however it was 6C and shaded, so cold enough to wrap up, and the water was extremely cold, about 2 or 3C, so no dip for me - plus if I was to dip I would probably block the water from flowing and get into trouble - or they would call marine rescue
