It was a very windy day in Helix Park where the Kelpies are!
My skills still need some honing to say the least and a filter wouldn’t have hurt, still there are a few fairly nice pull-outs and orbits here and there. Enjoy.
When you watch this, you’ll know what sections look good vs ‘hunting around footage’. Moving the gimbal up and down quickly and randomly never looks good on playback. You can set up ‘smoothness’ on the mini 4 pro which will help and set speeds in Cine mode. It’s also worth stopping the drone for 2-3 secs at the start and end of each sequence as it makes editing much easier.
Yep, thanks, Andy. One of the annoying things on the remote controller is the wheels to move the gimbal and magnification. I need to reassign them really so they make sense to me as to which one in which direction performs which function. A lot of my ‘hunting’ footage is caused by me moving the gimbal the wrong way first.
Justin Bainbridge has a great video on speed and braking settings - the gimbal and yaw movements gently brake when you centre the sticks - and the drone slows down smoothly …it’s an easy tweak which tends to make footage look quite ‘pro’
