We dont have full details of the O3 AirUnit yet but rumours are its basically the same camera system thats in the Avata and will cost arount £200-250ish. You can get a vista with Nebula Pro camera for around £150

Actually better than having internal elrs… a nano elrs module will work well. Either happymodel or the new radiomaster one.

I thought that got busted at the Big Meet? Is it still working ok?

I did spec out a new LCD screen for £8 from AliExpress, but then found the left stick to be knackered too. Bit the bullet and replaced the whole thing.

Like Richard said you can choose a control link and buy a compatible module and plug it in the back. Will work fine :+1:t2:

It says on the spec it has an ELRS Nano / TBS CRSF Nano compatible module bay on rear side. Which I’ve seen. But it says nought about DJI digital. Maybe I’m still confused. Or maybe I’m cheap, and the 2nd beer is kicking in.

Not a consideration for the control link. Just as with the thfs analog link. The video and control are completely separate.

Video will be 5.8GHz. Control 2.4GHz.

Youre only using DJI for the video link, you will use ELRS/Crossfire etc as your control link.
Unless you want to buy another DJI controller in which case you can use the Sbus control link built into the DJI Vista

The veil of confusion has lifted. I get it now. Makes sense.

So, for the control link, dare I ask what is preferred protocol? I have seen some/all recommendations above. Is one better?

You would need this controller to use the built in DJI control link around £300 and out of stock currently

Expresslrs now… some old die hards would say crossfire…

I used to own that :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming:

Its like asking what someones favourite dinner is lol
They all have pros and cons but any listed above would work well

Not under any circumstances frsky

And some would say Tracer  lol

OK, thanks guys. To summarise …

  1. Frame … 5", don’t go titantium (yet), but go 5.5 - 6mm arms, carbon fibre
  2. Goggles … My DJI V2 but if I buy the O3 AirUnit £££ I can use the 2
  3. Controller … my Jumper T Pro is fine
  4. Control link … expresslrs
  5. Batteries … 5
  6. Charger … Don’t scrimp

Does Karl @notveryprettyboy get a badge or something for starting a thread with 42 million posts in an hour?

I scrolled back and had not noticed this. Bardwell likes this one as well.

Personally I have the much older QAV-210. Actually it’s probably a clone… still it flies pretty well and has loads of room.

Back on track ;o)

There are only two suppliers of Ghost gear in the UK, those being HobbyRC and Airjacker. HobbyRC were out of stock of all Ghost products for nearly a year. They do have the Atto and Zepto receivers in stock, but the Ghost/Tramp combi boards cannot be had for love nor money. This is primarily due to the changes in importation rules between Europe and the UK and the costs involved to UK traders. This is why Dave Brown, the primary European repair agent for ImmersionRC and Fatshark, was forced to close his business in January of this year.

A few months back ImmersionRC released a high powered Tramp and Ghost AIO board but they would not supply this product to the UK due to the post BREXIT UKCA certification requirements. This may change as at the same time the CAA announced the postponement of the C classification the UK Gov announced the postponement of the UKCA requirements and that the CE certification will remain in place until Jan 2026.
