The Great Big GADC 5th Birthday and Treasure Hunt Challenge!

Day job has scuppered me as im tramping last few days. Not getting out as much as planned

I have my own spreadsheet up and running - but whilst I can still get 94 points that will soon dwindle.

Actually it’s the @Challenges_Committee that you’re all winding up - deliberately or otherwise…

The @Committee reserve their irritation for things like Drone Scene entries without location information, at which point one of the poor interns at ChallComm HQ has to endure the hairdryer treatment from our overlords via the office batphone.

Every bowling green is attached to a pub… they hide them in the club house. I’ve yet to go to a Paisley wedding or funeral that doesn’t end up in one.

Thank you Paul. Could you just pin point where this towpath is please?

It’s the one leading down from just of the left red marker, to the left of the Lagan. The wooden bridge is a bit further up the the path, I’ve marked with the white arrow. And, it was a lovely walk to get there.

Thanks Paul. I was still recovering from work. I see it now :+1:

Today’s 2nd entry, taken 29/07/22 around 12.15pm, Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park, Co. Antrim.

Five points please:
A landscape not in the county in which I live :white_check_mark: (this is in Antrim, I live in Co. Down)
An AONB :white_check_mark: (Lagan Valley AONB)
A 360 degree panorama on Kuula) :white_check_mark:

Drone Scene entry :white_check_mark:

Screenshot of my existing Member’s Map entry :white_check_mark:

Hopefully all correctly labelled, links working etc. :crossed_fingers:

I’ve just given you some more work :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s fine Paul, When everything is correctly labelled and linked and the criteria for the subject and bonuses met it’s both easy and a pleasure to award five points

Hi Paul. Didn’t you place a ds marker near here last September? Within 1km of this one for the same subject?

Bugger, I’d forgot about the marker at the LockKeeper’s cottage, though to be fair if I’d placed the marker at the wooden bridge rather than the access car park I’d have been fine. Only 4 points then

4 points awarded :+1:t2:

Yeah me too, but doesn’t meet the requirements of this comp since they are not open to the general public usually.

Colin you should be able to add a DS pin to the DS map. If you would like to claim a DS bonus point we would suggest you delete your entry and then post a question in the DroneScene section of the forum as below

Then after its sorted out you can resubmit your entry with added link to your DS entry.
Just a reminder… we are just reaching the end of week 2 of the challenge. You all still have around 5 weeks left to get your entries in, there is no need to rush entries unless you want to miss out on all those awesome bonus points :+1:t2:

I’ll second that. If you’re going out for a meal with friends leave your entry until the next day, that way you will have more time to carefully place your DS markers do you don’t forfeit points :man_facepalming:

Following a bout of posts incorrectly holding the GADC Committee responsible for this challenge, it was Roy’s turn to receive the latest batch of “constructive feedback” from the bosses.

Mercifully he has now recovered sufficiently to fire up the office abacus and update the scores. Click the Pic ™ for today’s LEADERBOARD

500 posts. Is that a record?

@Challenges_Committee A quick, maybe silly question, I know you can only post two submissions per day, are you allowed to capture images and subsequently post them (within the date of the competition?
