Can I claim 3 points please ( that is not negative dehaze it was very cloudy with fine rain ) got fed up with waiting,
@DroneGeek ian sorry I took the same location as you mate the place I originally went to had a pond not a lake in link below
No worries at all - Looks like you had some rain.
I am happy to help others, which is why I tend to post earlier rather than hold back.
This is supposed to be a bit of fun.
But if you end up with more points than me, I will send the boys round!
If we were going to be pedantic (and believe us we can be!) we might allow 3 1/2 points but, as the scoresheet only deals in whole numbers we will grudgingly allow you all four.
Why?
River - marked as such on Google Maps or Ordnance Survey (proof required)
We have no idea what that river is called because the proof you supplied doesn’t show the name!
We had to fire up the trusty 386 and look at Google Maps ourselves:
Four points!
Thanks buddy, I’ll always try to find my own oh & I’ve got my approval for the FRZ this Sunday, wooooo hooooo
Ah very sorry for the map I should have looked for another, yes river Avon as you know sorry for not understanding the Google thing,
Thank you
We have just had the police round after a series of complaints from Mrs. Featherstonehaugh-Chomondley about crowds of oiks flying drones around her property and peering in her widows.
Fortunately we were able to show them both your picture and Ian’s so they left satisfied. Not sure but we thought the shorter of the two mumbled something about “Bloody awful pictures, my dog could take better …”
3 points!
Thank you, what a day, must pay the clean air charge @ bath
Edit : just for the record the Google original I have here does say River Avon but because I cropped / zoomed I chopped it off by accident .
I shouldn’t laugh!
Hey all, bit late for the party, been a lot going on here but this does look fun and we are all charged and will be going out soon and hoping to catch a few of these. Sorry for the late arrival. When we go out will be armed with a list and charged drones. Until then see you soon.
Good luck Russ it is fun mate
It does. Just gonna get my ass in gear.
Welcome Russ (and Sarah, we hope!)
Not late at all. The Challenge is designed so that people who enter part-way through can still capture all the subjects and be in with a chance of winning
This Challenge doesn’t normally get going for the first week as many people take a while to fully read the subject list and the rules and plan their campaign to maximise efficiency in time and travel.
When we go out will be armed with a list and charged drones.
And memory cards, They are quite useful And a copy of the subjects and the rules, just to double check that you have got all the bonuses and you are within the rules.
A final top tip. If you intend to take video make sure you press the button …
Translation… Sarah is my stalker… Just kidding.
Mmm we may be more like… HIT THE BRAKES. THERE IS ONE.
Got some new ones amazon prime
Printed
Never managed to post a video yet… Lol
However tonight we have to solve a murder. (Do not worry the person dies every night).
Well it is quite tall, so I suppose there could be some Peregrines nesting in it? They’re birds of prey aint they?
If there are we’re sure they would have attacked John’s drone by now, the number of times he has photographed it for Challenges and for RTF
