This is the first and only forum I am in. I was a little lost at first. Getting better all the time. It does become easier.

Yeah, i went back during the week to get the poppies again but since posting the photos i had shot just 8 days ago, they had quickly gone way past their best.

Consoled myself with some shots from the ground of the windmill using my new infrared toy (see below). Shame one pair of the sails are off the windmill for repair - im guessing it wont be operational again for a while

I’ll move to The Great Big Non-Drone Photo Thread!

Moved them over. :+1:

Very nice !
I usually go out that way a couple of times a year,
No doubt if I go back for windmill I’ll come back with poppies :+1:

Too true. Was just down the road (ish) this morning at Avebury flying over the desecrated crop circle and found quite a few new poppy patches in the fields overlooking it. More than a few isolated flowers (clumps of 20-30) but nowhere near the scale.of the wilton and chadfield fields

Well if you want a further reason to go back to Avebury, another crop circle has appeared close by (Hackpen Hill). Flew over it this morning and grabbed some shots but people were already climbing all over it damaging the crops in the field - no wonder the farmers get pee’d off with it all

Thanks for that,
Yes from what I know I think that’s one of the reasons the farmers would rather not them as it entices visitors who trash the place :grimacing:

Stop watching me eat my breakfast!!!

One of my favourite photos; this hangs on the wall in my study, enlarged to 33" x 23". I actually wanted it printed 33" x 47", but the guy printing it for me didn’t have any paper big enough. Taken on EOS RP with RF 100 - 400 mm f5.6 - f8 @ 250 mm. The tractor was 220 yards away from where I was standing, and the original image is so sharp, you can zoom right in, and read the number plate  Go ahead and try it; this is the original size.

This is on my living room wall, my first aerial picture of Clifton Suspension Bridge, taken from a hot air balloon in May 2004.
I had just got a Fuji Finepix S602 the week before, so it was shot in Auto mode.
Immediately after I got it printed, they touched it up a bit, framed it and its been pride and place ever since, however a modest 15" x 12" size.
I won’t be able to recreate as it was taken higher than I can fly my Mini 4 Pro.

I do have another from a second balloon flight, need to find that one.

I’m sorry if this offends anyone, I know it’s easy done
these days, but I tend to take photos of what I enjoy the most.

But I’m submitting this one in to see if anyone gets the movie reference, and to ask if I’ve made it too difficult to see the main character of the said movie?

Does it offend me - no. But I am scared of clowns, just glad there isn’t one in the pic
