This is Colemere, a lake near Ellesmere in Shropshire, photographed early on Sunday afternoon.
As well as being used by small sailing boats, it’s the only place in England where you can find the Least Water-Lily. I learned this from the park ranger who stopped me to interrogate me about my permissions for drone flying (Shropshire Council do have a policy against drones at country parks and heritage sites, but I didn’t know that). He was an r.c. model aircraft flier, so at least we had a good chat about that.
