Thanks to the bloody government it looks like I will be out of the game for a further 14 days now :man_facepalming::man_facepalming::man_facepalming:

I am over 1000 miles from mainland Spain on a Spanish island with a lower infection rate than the UK but some how due to mainland Spains increased infection rate i now have to isolate upon my return😡

My mother was stationed there in 1944.

It’s a shame there’s nothing left of it. Not even a memorial plaque to say it even existed.

Both my brothers learnt to drive on the runways in the 50s … when they were still good concrete surfaces.

Edit: Ha! Just seen this on Wikipedia

“Runways were broken up in the 1960s, putting an end to their use for informal driving lessons,”

That’s a shame. Having just driven the length of the M27 there’s a lot of people who would benefit from informal driving lessons

Not the greatest museum in the world - and not a control tower  but possibly worth a visit before a Sunday pub lunch in the Forest:

Unfortunately no bonus on this one. Just a train entering a tunnel today near Wellington, Somerset.
