The Isle of Anglesey

A visit to The Isle of Anglesey. With it’s beautiful bays & coastlines, historic castles, bridges and lighthouses and areas of natural beauty. It certainly didn’t disappoint. I hope you enjoy this short film i made from my travels. Shot using a Samsung smart phone camera/gimbal and DJI mini drone. Please like & subscribe if you’ve enjoyed this content. Thanks

Excellent edit with a nice balance of land and aerial video footage. I love Anglesey, you’ve captured it very well. Thanks for sharing Col :+1:

Wow, that was like a mix of a Hollywood film and one of the Attenborough programs.

Amazing work, love the perspectives of the bridge and lots of places that I recognize from my time living there.

There’s still lots left of the island to add - part two maybe? I’d love to see that

Thanks Clinkadink, I really appreciate your comments. It took many hours of editing and sound design to bring it all together. I`m glad you enjoyed it! :+1:

Thank you very much Howard, I`m glad you enjoyed it.

I was originally drawn to Anglesey from seeing pictures of South Stack Lighthouse. Little did I know it had so much more to offer. I did plan to go to Porth Wen Brickworks, but ironically it was closed due to filming. The Parys mountain, Trearddur Bay and Dingle (Nant y Pandy) Nature Reserve were also on my list but I ran out of time.

It would be good to hear what other places you could recommend.

Yes, still loads more to discover… I shall have to return for part 2!

Thanks again

Colin

Great that Col as usual👍.

Love Anglesey myself, only came back on Saturday.

For your next trip put Porth Wen on your list as well as Parys mountain. Others are Breakwater Park, Soldiers point and the marina, all in the same area right next to Holy Mountain, if you haven’t been there already👍

You can never be bored with Anglesey

Oh, great stuff. I trust you were able to get some great footage on your visit?

Thanks for the recommendations. I actually went to Porth Wen Brickworks but it was closed due to filming. I’ll definitely have return for more exploration, such a beautiful place!

Mostly stills this time round.

I have around a TB of footage on a Hdd from the various places which I’ve already done, so a compilation is on the cards :+1:

I like the gimbal and smart phone combo, I was looking into that myself. Gives it an extra dimention and more personal feel to the vid instead of all way up sky hi shots :+1:

Thanks Ade

I like to add a variety of shot to mix things up a bit, plus as you`re not permitted to fly Beaumaris Castle. The ground shots using my smartphone combo allowed me to get some decent footage.

Good shout on the compilation, would make for a great show reel for your YT channel. :+1:
