Note to self: Do not try to land a drone on a picnic table on a windy day.
No photos or video to show you; but I had my very first crash today. Wind was around 22 mph, and the Mini 3 seemed to be handling the gusts fine; until I came into land however. I had been operating from a spot where there was an empty picnic table, with no-one around.
I opted for the picnic table, since the grass was a bit longer, and I had nowhere else suitable to land. Just at the very point of touchdown, a strong gust of wind caught the drone; it tipped enough for the propellors to catch the picnic table, and it crashed to the ground.
A very slight dent on the leading edge of one propellor close to the hub was the only damage I can find. Thankfully.
Finally got around to setting up the replacement Avata 2.
Because this is the 3rd replacement via a Care Refresh claim, DJI included a Limited Edition Sticker in the box with the replacement, which the Avata 2 now proudly wears.
