The never ending "I crashed my drone thread" 🔥

Great to see one in action- - feel for the guy crashing - DJI refresh ??

I really wished I’d never have to add to this thread . I received a notification about an update for my Mini 2, so I completed it and went to take a look at my new roof. However, when I was about 20 feet up, things went wrong :slightly_frowning_face:. The drone announced “maximum altitude reached” and went into Return to Home mode, even though the maximum altitude and the RTH height were set at 180.4ft, It ended up colliding with my fence, clipped some ivy, and crash-landed into a pile of building debris :smiling_face_with_tear:. I’ve already contacted DJI and am sending the drone back to them. Fingers crossed it will be back in time for the big meet :crossed_fingers:.

Impromptue crash test with the X-Class yesterday…
Towards the end of the last pack - bit offline and ended up too low and clipping a gate :man_facepalming:
On the plus side I am quite happy with the tune now

Amazingly, it looks like the tally is only 2 props and an arm tube (standard 20mm carbon tube from amazon - replacement on the way  )
Should be a 5mn job to put it back together

The gate however will need a new banner

Silly crash (aren’t they all?) at Pembrey Nature Park, UK. Canopy got loose and I have now replaced the frame. CF frame support is on order…
