The Nuba Survival | John Buckley | near Checkendon, Oxfordshire

I’m not the first person here to make a video of this sculpture, and this was my second visit in a couple of years to the place.

This 5-metre high sculpture stands in a field near Checkendon in south Oxfordshire, with a dilapidated barn behind it. The sculpture was made around 2001 after the artist returned from a visit to the Nuba lands in the Sudan.
