I’m generally quite a fan. Two years of Norwegian classes under my belt whilst we decided if we were brave enough to flytte… then Covid came just as we were starting to edge towards a pre-Brexit exit.
I’m not sure I could cope with the winters but I also find temperatures over about 18 degrees C with no cooling wind to be uncomfortable. The ideal would be to have homes in both countries - though buying and keeping a house in the UK has been toil enough.
As for you making the break - when and if Gove-id comes to an end why not take the plunge? I don’t hold out many hopes for Britain in a trade and political climate ravaged by pandemic, no-deal Brexit, Johnson and Trump
Don’t forget the Dutch, who have been reclaiming land for decades whilst we (the British government) let the sea take our land, as the east coast, for example shows!
The local council here (Havant Botough Council) are not renewing the beach defences on the westend end of the front beach yet are intending to allow further housing development nearby. Theu also have a plan to speed traffic flow by placing three extra eoundabouts on the main road!
