yeah - not against it per say - we could narrow/split the bands later on too. Aim is to promote participation - more categories means you are more likely to try to get on there.
We could keep the current one unchanged mind and just have an additional more granular one for FPV entries?
Bump! Size / Battery seems most ordered and logical,
I just did 165kph with my 3” self build which I am super chuffed with, but current rules say only 1 self build in the current leaderboard - and my little thing will never catch the likes of @Cedric
These seem to be the 2 options from the last round of discussion above - I detail them below the poll. Let me know if you feel we want another option included in the poll?
Wings
Wing up to 880mm wingspan, running on up to 4S
Wing above 880mm wingspan, running on 4S
Wing above 880mm wingspan, running on 6S
Plane (having distinct wings, fuselage, tail) upto 1000mm wingspan, running on up to 4S
Plane (having distinct wings, fuselage, tail) above 1000mm wingspan, running on up to 6S
Option 2
Quads (12 entries entries as per per prop size & battery voltage)
under 2" - 1S 2S 3S
2" to under 4" - 3S 4S 6S
4" to under 6" - 4S 6S 8S
6" and over - 6S 8S 12S

Interesting. I’d say better just to have frame size.
The battery is down to choice and if you want to be faster then build something to carry a 6s.
We should definitely have something to include a minimum number of satellites locked.
I think @Steviegeek suggested 8 or 10 which covers the problem of inaccurate readings and a lack of air data.
Hi guys - you have previously shown an interest in a ‘self build speed leaderboard’ - we have 4 options detailed above with corresponding poll entries (in 2 posts) - care to vote for your format of choice? Or forever be silent
For Option.1 & 3 - I would classify a 2.2" drone as in the 2.5" category but open to suggestions.
For Option 2 & 4 - it would fit into the ‘from 2" to under 4"’
consensus discussed earlier in the thread points to video w osd (till landing showing summary) as well as a min of 8 sats
not sure this has been fleshed out yet… Maybe a simple RaceGOW type track we can use to time participants? (leaving it to the whoops specialists ) - @GunjaFPV@Baconfeatures@Rookery
