These featured in the Outlander series. They’re in Kinclaven Bluebell Woods and its well worth a visit if you’re in the area at the right time. I actually went out to get photos of the bluebells but hardly any in bloom yet so will need to visit again in a few weeks, the locals told me its normally the start of May. It would have been longer but too many branches were waiting to knock the mini2 out of the air and my bum was twitching too much!
Nice!
Thing is, I only live 20 minutes away from it, driven past it literally 100’s of times, but never stopped for a walk. Spent 4 hours today walking round with my Nikon D70S IR camera, don’t think I’ll have any decent shots as the focus is a little off after being converted to IR. I can adjust it but I need to find and print some test charts first, in the meantime I’ve been shooting everything at f7.1 or f8 and locking focus a few feet in front of the main subject.
I will be returning to the woods every week and keeping fingers crossed that the next fundamental challenge colour is blue
I drove up from Glasgow about mid May last year and there were hardly any bluebells, went back two weeks later and the forest floor was carpeted with them.
