Hi, I have three drones, Mini3P, Air2s and an Avata 2. My favourite being the Avata and use the Air2s for better quality. I’m finding I’m not using the Mini3 as much. Given the proposed relevance of 249g and the Air2s proposal to be C1, I’m wondering whether to sell the Mini 3 and Air2s and replace both with a Air3s. Any one else with similar thoughts?

I’ve now got 5 drones, in age (DJI Mini 2, mini 3 Pro, NEO, FLIP and now the Mavic 4 Pro), and still fly them all, as there are all different, all have their pros and cons, and little quirks that makes it so fun flying them.
Due to take my A2 C of C soon to be able to fly the ‘Beast’ aka Mavic 4 Pro, in more places and nearer uninvolved people.

Hi, yes I was only contemplating this the other day. I have a Mavic (1st Edition), Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro and the Mini 3 Pro is my ‘workhorse’ for commercial inspections in London. However, if the CAA stick by their words, come January '26 it does make me wonder if many pilots (including me) will be ‘eyeing up’ the Air3s. I guess the other thing to think about is whether DJI will launch an Air4s around January '26 to entice people - assuming the Mini 5 Pro will be released in September '25. Questions and deliberations all round…
My own web-surf suggests Drone Safe Store appear to be giving the best deal on the Air3s at the mo.

I had the Mini 3P for a couple of year’s, awesome drone but felt I needed a bit more, so sold that for £500 and used the money towards an A3S and did the A2 CoC - really glad I did, more options on the optics and better wind tolerance, January 2026 expected more favourable restrictions too. I have the Avata2 also and that compliments it well in other areas.
Surely the correct number of drones is x+1, x being the number of drones you currently own! If it were x-1, we would ultimately end up with no drones at all, or worse, a negative number of drones…
I’m basing this on my other hobby, model railways, where the sccepted norm is x locomotives+1.

I’m currently X -1, for the next week or so, sold the Mini3Pro to MPB and once the cash hits the back, I’ll be clicking buy on a 5” FPV quad.

See, now you haven’t got any drones at all, because you applied x-1, but the application of the theory x+1 will mean that your drone ownership will increase by an infinite percentage; you will have a 5" FPV Quad…
