Tintern Abbey 2D and 3D

My first location shoot with my first drone the Mav4, Tintern Abbey.

Camera photo taken on the day with the sun starting to drop below the valley hillside.

Having captured a full rotation video of the abbey, a set of frames were extracted from the complete video run and then used to generate a 3D model. Below is a screen shot of the model running on my PC. The video taken with the drone’s primary camera was impressive for an novice with minimal user interaction. The Hasselblad camera’s high pixel count undoubtedly contributed to the wonderful resolution I see in the 3D abbey model. I was further amazed when I zoomed in which rewards with impressive, sharp detail to the model.

I hadn’t realised how advanced camera based drones had become.

Love that place, visited there in late Jan this year,
But you had much better weather than me
‘ I still managed a few piccy’s tho ‘ was very very grey.

I assume, as the 3d model is in Blender, a STL file could be created and 3d printed?
Not got into the design side of 3d printing apart from a few basic things in tinkercad, but this is interesting.
I do like the sound of this if its possible.

Nice :+1:
