well as im new to the scene, i have so far introduced myself, so now my journey into the drone scene has taken another road on my journey so here goes, i purchased a dji-mini 2 with 7 batteries, a pele style hard case with over 7 spare set of blades still in bags and sealed, alomg with other accssories like filters, prop guards and even led lights etc for 400.00 and while i was going through it all with the guy he mentioned that he had another one for sale but this one was locked but also came with accessories and bag etc and that he only wanted 100. not knowing if there was any way around this i took a gamble and paid for it aswell so in all for 500 2x drones, 9 batteries and s### loads of accessories, so as i got home and admired what i had, my next stage was to find out what i need to do to legally fly my drones so of on my hunt and found and listened to abit of advise from people on here on what i should do, so then i took my test for A1-A2 got insurance cover and then proceeded on watching a few videos on how to this and how to that lol which some i found quite interesting and some quite not so. i then began finding out on what to do with a drone binded to another account… beleive me wasnt looking promising and thought well atleast ill have plenty of parts, but this wasnt for me and wanted to go even further and not give up, then i found a article about being able to get hold of DJI to email the previous owner to unbind the account and sometimes that may work if they responded or not but a gamble that was worth looking inti. so i spoke to the guys at DJI- Jack persifically that was very helpful and full of info for someone tha1t told him had no previous knowledge of the hobby or drones, and within 3 days Jack got intouch again telling me that the previous owner had unbound the drone from there account and that meant i cold bind it to mine which i was extremely happy especially to find out that the drone had only had 3.5 hours of complete fly time registered, but thats it the fun stopped there, as i found out that there were sensor issues and camera issues allowing the drone not to fly, so i then got intouch again with DJI to find out what i could do with regards to repair.
The outcome i had with custome service is for another subject and i will highlight in a seperate post but to cut that story short being past from one department to the next for a complete week made be fely like a piece of meat and made me feel dizzy from the experiance… but like i said that be for another post that will follow, but anyway being told that i couldnt get any cover or aftercare due to the status of my drones was an issue as one of my drones was still under warranty, so it was discussed that i wanted to send that in for service and repair and at the same time i wanted to send the othe drone in for the same , so now it has been acknowledged that they dont usually cover the drones for aftersales unless purchased at time of buying the drone, as they cant vouch for the drone or by sending in a video of the drone showing various things and if there happy then they may approve it for you to get to cover, but the way i have done it was also noted the same for cover to be given, so now i have 2 drones on way to netherlands due for service and repair and then returned back to be hopefully within 10 day from the date that they receive it, i cant say how happy i am and looking forward to receiving them back especially with aftercare service that i will get for 2 years something im also going to look into if the cover stays with the drone or can carry over if i upgrade… so quite frankly a happy chappy with or will be 2 fully working mini 2’s that will be virtually brand new for 500.00 hopefully the best investment that i have ever paid and look forward to getting them up and see what photography through the drones can be like
wow 7 batteries… that will keep you flying for a while.
note it’s not recommended to keep them fully charged unless you are going to use them… or leave them fully discharged
