Tower Bridge and Kings Cross & St Pancras stations, London

I was in the big smoke with work last week so it was a perfect opportunity to take my Mini 3 down with me. I’ve got some video I need to edit together so have this shot while you wait.

And I might as well stick this one of Tower Bridge and the city in here also.

Great shots! Did you have to get permission to fly here as I thought the stations were in a restricted flight zone? I’d like to get something similar but thought flying in central London was not allowed.

No, and no… :slightly_smiling_face:

The City of London is a restricted zone without NATS permission. So is much of Central London.

As @uav_hampshire says, no permission required. There is an airspace restriction - EGR160 - over most of central London but that’s only for helicopters.

This thread has lots of comments about it

Not forgetting EGR160 overlaps into EGR157 around the Kensington, Knightsbridge, Brompton, Pimlico and across the river to South Lambeth. 157 being a restricted zone for drones and which would also be the more attractive flying zone.

Yes, there are other restrictions within EGR160 which do prevent drone flights.
