And your conclusion?
My conclusion issssssss I think Iām getting way ahead of my self here, not even flown the 4inch yet and looking at building something else ā¦lol
To be honest iv really got the FPV bug, there are sooooo many elements to this hobby as to keep you interested.
I just fancy building something different, the problem Iām having at the mo is my partner moaning as she feels Iām spend far to much on FPV and not a decent set of clothes for when we go out!.
She said Iām fed up with you looking like a homeless person when we go outā¦lol I ask you
Just going to throw this out there, no hobby should come between you and your relationship. As then itās no longer a hobby itās an obsession.
Make sure you have a good balance of both
Or try and get her into FPV ā¦lol
Hey, if itās good enough for Bradā¦
Although maybe if we looked like Brad our significant others wouldnāt be so concerned about what we wore.
My journey was pretty much the same. Kept looking for the next thing that was going to be the breakthrough in my learning curve. As it turns out, the Nazgul, which I was frankly a bit afraid of, is probably the easiest thing to fly that I have.
Couldnāt agree more Deano Sit tight and enjoy the build you have right now, keep the Mrs happy and then maybe look at a new build in the spring when you might actually be able to use it lol
Good luck with that one mate
The bigger quads are more stable as they have more power and more thrust making them easier to control
PMSL I love that mate I could go out in a potato sack and she wouldnāt mind, if I looked like thatā¦
I hear you on the Nazgul I absolutely my self when I first flew it, but gotta agree love it now. Its my go to quad every time, mind you sheās a little battered now after practicing the split S.
No! No!
Build, build, build⦠thatās where the fun is really at. Lol.
Building is really addictive. Though annoyingly expensive right now due to semiconductor shortage. Though my latest aio f4 fc for £33 posted from Darwin fpv arrives today. That really helps! (It better bloody work)
With the weather and sunlight hours as they are right now Iāve not been getting out much and instead have been practicing my whoop flying around the house. Though I think my family are starting to be annoyed by it. Iāve noticed some minor damage to the canopy on my uz65 so have decided I need a spare whoop. So a mobula 6 has just been ordered⦠£70 posted. Not bad!
Who needs new clothes anyway?
Love it !!
And because of the bigger frame size they can be slower to rotate, the smaller size frames are a lot faster as it takes less time to rotate. Obviously these can be changed and adjusted to compensate by changing your rates.
Think of it like this a 360 degree roll, a bigger quad on the same rates as a smaller quad will take more time to complete the 360 roll as the end of the arms have to travel further to complete the roll so it translates into a slower more controllable rotation.
A few tips:
Add some Throttle expo.
Reduce camera angle to slow down.
Get some gates from banggood.com. They want to be high up to avoid ground effect.
Angle mode.
Get turtle mode enabled.
Practice, practice, practice.
Then you can remove Throttle expo and increase camera angle once you have proper control.
Interesting, iv been practising on the sim and I noticed this, but didnāt think altering the camera angle would make that much difference
Right Iv gotta shoot as this is what my other half is on about ā¦lol
I could spend all day on here chatting with you guys, love it, but I have a list of things to do before 13.00 .
So catch up soon
It makes a massive difference. A couple of degrees is everything. I fly my whoop camera almost vertical.
