Twizel Castle and Bridge - Added to Castles and Fortifications in North East

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

There is free parking next to the bridge at What3Words: eclipses.award.zones
TOAL from the bridge is convenient, allowing VLOS to the castle.
You can also film/ photograph the bridge, which dates back to 1511, while you're at it.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 13/02/2023. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

This is the Twizel bridge (the one in the foreground…), spanning the river Till.
The bridge dates back to 1511 and was the longest single span bridge in Britain when it was built.
It was a key component in the Battle of Flodden, as neither side had to get their feet wet crossing the river.
This could also have delayed the development of wellies…
