I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Ullapool is inside the Highlands TFR, so check whether it is active - on Sundays it is not, so we were able to fly.

MV Loch Seaforth was just about to dock, so I just had to send the AIR3 up and try to capture it - video to follow when we get home and can edit the footage…

Lots of scope for filming, the town itself, the harbour and boats, plus the amazing views both to the Summerisles and inland along Loch Broom…

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 28/06/2026. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.

Love this part of Scotland. I lived here for a while when I was training in Fish farming. Look forward to your film!!

Used to pass through there many years ago bound for Summer Isle Yacht charters (don’t think they exist anymore ). Spend a fortnight night bare boat charter around inner & outer Hebrides, and fantastic lochs on the mainland, absolutely magical. Did that for a few years, some of the most memorable times in my life.
