Unboxed the new DJI mini 5 Pro and tried to connect the RC2 controller to the internet but continue to not get connected. Internet WIFI on correct password etc being used but still will not connect has anyone else had this problem.
@barryb I’ve had 3 RC2’s and all have been ok. Out of interest have you tried a friends internet?
Use the Fly app to contact DJI for assistance, if they cant sort it out you’ll have a new one soon enough.
I’ve never had issues.
I more or less exclusively use a mobile hotspot but in wifi terms its just another network.
Does it give a specific error message?
I can’t think why it would be, out of the box, but check “Local Data Mode” isn’t set to being on.

No ertor message just keeps saying unable to connect. Just did an update on the mini 4 pro controller and drone anx had no issues.
Im calling DJI at 9am when there online chat is open
Strange Dave. I will try contacting DJI later.
Try a process of elimination @barryb
If the controller will connect to your phone hotspot then you know the issue lies with your home wifi.
If the controller won’t connect to your phone wifi or your home wifi then you know the issue lies with the controller.
So it detects various networks, just doesnt connect?
Btw does this count toward grey arrows 24 hour tech support? ;p
It detects my network allows me to add password then says unable to connect no error message.
I will try doing that Spike tks.
Lemme fiddle with mine real quick.
Not wanting to get into a granny and eggs situation but have you confirmed the password?
Ive often mixed up i and 1 or o and 0 before
Just told my rc2 to forget the network and then entered an incorrect password.
It says check password n try again
If you can use the top down gesture and hit the hexagon in the top right correct. Try connecting through the network & internet section?
Have you tried to connect to a PC first. Connect to DJI assistant, then try wifi again.
It’s not a 2.4 v 5ghz issue is it? Both with the same SSID and pw? Had that issue with something some while back.
Had to temporarily disable 5ghz to leave only the 2.4 visible.
I’ld use a mobile hotpsot to see how that works out
Hi Nik sorted there is an issue with btinternet in the area until 14th. Took skmetime to connect but it did in the end.
Barry
