I have a P4M (less than week old) and it will no longer fly with the error - ‘unable to take off 8012’.
I was flying this over the weekend, no problems. It now no longer flies. I have tried multiple locations (100+ miles apart) I am not in a no fly zone. I have the latest firmware and nothing had changed from that perspective.
I have tried refreshing and that has not fixed it.
In short - it did fly, now it doesn’t and I get this error, over and over again I can connect to the drone, just not fly it.
It is indeed a new drone (the shop has been great) we have been through four drones - and this one worked out of the box (it around £7K of kit, with all the batteries, chargers etc)… The P4M is great …when it flies, but lots of bugs.
As I am short of time, I am trying to avoid sending it back again (as that costs 2 to 4 days to send it back, check it, get a new one sent up, and then test it again).
I’d be after a full refund and buy something else. If 4 have the same error and it’s not a quick/obvious fix then that does raise questions about the whole shipment.
Also, decent multispectral sensors are not cheap; makes me wonder if the multispectral phantom is built to a strict budget to get more life out of an aging platform.
I now similar error saying that I can’t fly due to height restrictions. Its as though it thinks its in a no-fly zone (but its not). I have also tried flying in many other locations and it still gets this.
I have tried updating the remote unit as well (no joy there either)
Aye well the lowest price micasense is not far off what you paid for the drone package. Latest version with the skyport for mounting on M300 is rather more than your package- just for the sensor.
Like I say, I’d be asking for a full refund, then if a phantom multispectral is what you are after (presumably related to the project you posted about last May) then why not just hire the kit when you need it?
I assume you have other drones and are familiar with flying them and the rules etc, if not you might find that practice with other kit or some tuition is helpful.
