Unable to open DJI Fly on a Samsung s9 tab ultra

Hi Folks.
Anybody had an issue with the Dji fly appon this device.
It has worked flawlessly for over a year.
Today i press on the fly app and it doesn’t open.
I uninstalled it and tried to re download from Dji, I cannott download it as there is no download tab.
Anyone help this tablet cost a few quid ,and I enjoyed the experience on it as a pose to my phone.

Did you try scanning the QR code?

Link

They used to have a direct download link to the .apk file for Android on that page, that seems to have gone away now?

It’s there on mobile. Screenshot was laptop.

Oh, that’s even more interesting, they’re changing the page content based on device type?

Can you copy / paste the link to the APK please Dave?

I just managed to get it working on the tablet again.
I had to overide play store i play protect.
I too could get it on my mobile ,but not the tablet from dji .
The link above worked thank you.
Strange one.
Need to try it with the drone now.
Its not the latest version, and says up to date .
Maybe it will update soon.
Thanks for all your help.

Oh?

What version is it?

My Android 12 device would not support any DJI apps - DJI Fly and DJI Go4 - until I removed the Google Play Protect feature from Google Play.

Symptoms were the apps would run then crash, and if you deleted them , would not then reinstall.

It would seem that the DJI apps are not certified by Google for some reason, maybe because they are changing so often?

I would not really recommend doing this on a day-to-day phone running sensitive apps, like banking, NHS access, HMRC, messaging , Facebook etc, as Google Play is notorious for hosting dodgy apps.

However, doing this has freed up some spare phones I had lying around

Hope this helps

Because they are pretty much dodgy code and full of bloatware

It updated itself now.
Just had a flight with it and all seems well.

Thanks for all your replies, appreciate it.

More likely dji don’t want to share any revenue with google. Think there were 3 updates to dji-fly last week , the latest seems to be good on all my devices , previous crashed or failed to start on some droids , including on a dji RC500

Dodgy code
