Hi folks - I’m having an issue getting flight logs off my Flip with RC2 controller on to Airdata. The RC2 does not support third party apps nor will it download DJI Assistent 2. Anybody know of a work around? Thanks, Jon
You don’t put anything on the controller - you sync your DJI account to DJI first with the flight logs into DJI then you connect your DJI account to AirData and sync that - will find the post that has the details on what you do
as for DJI Assist 2 that is a PC/ Mac app used for firmware update and calibration
I thought there was a more detailed post about how to but cant seem to find it - but check out this page
https://app.airdata.com/wiki/Help/DJI+RC
should help you - also as a gold member you can get a discount for AirData too should you need all the extra stuff that it provides.
Hi there, thanks so much for that. Love flying and processing images but a bit of a luddite when it comes to this kind of stuff. I’ll follow up as you suggest. Thanks again
Just to follow on, I already have a M2EA which does sync all flights via DJI Assistant 2 to Airdata, no bother. I’ve manually added the Flip to Airdata and also hit the automatic sync button on the RC2 controller so presumed they would just appear in Airdata. But that hasn’t happened yet
The basic steps are
on your controller in the DJI Fly app is make sure your logged in and the auto sync is on so that it uploads to DJI
log into AirData and add your DJI account details that are the same on your controller and then sync from AirData to pull in the DJI logs and you should see it all there in the log tab.
Thanks folks. I’m actually out of the office at the mo but will have another go when I get back. I have tried the force syncing option but to no avail. I did read somewhere it sometimes syncs weekly? Which is why until now I’ve been waiting.
Hi again, so been back into Airdata and deleted the Flip as a drone, as the instructions say not to add it manually by default. Refreshed everything. Turned RC2 controller on and made sure it was logged on and double checked auto sync was on. Proceeded to Airdata account, DJI login, Flip is not listed there neither is my M2EA for that matter. Anyway clicked refresh and then sync all and nothing. Sigh. So have now reached out to Airdata help to see what I’m doing wrong. Thanks for your time though folks
Hey Peter, thanks for all your help on this. So it turns out I had to simply re-enter my DJI login details into Airdata. Don’t know why as whenever I go into Airdata it is always automatically syncing from the M2EA. Anyway, that has sorted it and it’s now added the Flip and synced all my flights and added them to my logs. Thanks again
very odd that - though I think I had to do something like that too when I got my neo but dont remember having to re-do it again for my Air3s - might just be a security thing
Glad its working for you now
