Do it

The Air2s is awesome pal

I dont believe the mini 3 will be better than the A2s. It will be good but not as good as the A2s.

Weight always plays a major part in drones.

I had the same dilemma. As I bought a used M2P last year, when the Air 2S was ā€˜the new best thing’.

After a shed load of research and back and fore … I settled on the M2P. Yes, the Air2S can film at 5.7K, and also (more importantly) at 4K/60FPS. But … and here is my deal breaker, the Air2S does not allow aperture adjustment. Which, for those ā€œmanual loversā€, kicks it into touch. That was a deal breaker for me, not sure why they did that, because everything else about the Air2S was great. It was an obvious upgrade. But for that reason alone, I saved myself Ā£500 and stuck with the ā€˜old fella’.

Personally, as ā€œupgrade pathsā€ go … Mavic 2 Zoom (or Pro) to the Air2S is not worth shelling out a grand for. But that’s just my opinion, but Steve @speatuk is right, the Air2S is most definitely awesome. For me, I would certainly wait to see what the Mini 3 brings before parting with any cash on the next drone.

Completely agree.

I have all these drones in my collection :see_no_evil:
The Mavic 3 is awesome, being a collector (ahem) I would say if we was going to split airs and say if I could choose only one from my collection which one would I choose?

I would seriously think about it and then say

ā€œWe’ll take the FPV drone out of the equation as I’m keeping that whatever happens. I would then choose the Mavic 2 Pro for all the reasons @clinkadink said above.ā€

Yes it does not have all the lastest dings and dongs that the other ones have.

But come on, how much of this stuff do you use???

The M2P is by far my most converted drone.

As long as we are taking the FPV drone out of the equation. It’s just something else.

Been flying a Phantom 3 Pro for a couple of years now and as my confidence grows I think I’m ready to take the plunge on a new drone.

Following endless hours of reading countless reviews I’m leaning towards the air 2S. Could you share your experience and thoughts please before I hit that rather expensive ā€˜buy now’ button.

Cheers guys

Looking at Gavin’s latest video on YouTube the Mini3 details are on AliExpress. Price guess, possibly Ā£1000 for the Fly More Combo in UK. Shows 60fps in 4k, sensors all round and 249g.

Anothher option is to get an Mavic2Pro camera and gimbal for around £400 . Straight swap for the zoom camera and only takes five to ten minutes to change. Go 4 recognises it as a Mavic Pro without any messing about. Best of both worlds for minimum outlay.
