USAAF Station 153 Framlingham

In a corner of a Suffolk farmers field that was once America.

While not as nice as RAF Thorpe Abbotts the 390th Bomb Group Memorial Museum at Parham houses a large collection of relics from the USAAFs friendly invasion of Suffolk, in this particular case from the 390th Bomb Group.

Free admission, worth a visit if you’re anywhere near the home of the talentless ginger boy who can’t sing.

It is also home to the Museum of the British Resistance Organisation.

Dad’s Very Secret Army, the Fuzzie Wuzzies may not have liked it up em but after Cpl Jones had been trained up he knew how to filet Nazis with his butchers knife & was totally prepared to do so.

@SancastleAerial , you don’t imagine you could escape my instant attention with something posted here in East Suffolk, do you? I was there a couple of years ago for a memorial weekend in May 2022.

I’d never been there before, been meaning to for years and as I was up at Thorpe Abbotts a month or so ago it was simply rude not to.
