Vision sensor calibration and DJI Assistant - 2 issues!

On a previous post I mentioned an issue with my mavic 2 pro - basically super slow to descend and then not wanting to land. I’ve cleaned the sensors - no help. I had a lengthy chat with DJI - they want me to do vision sensor calibration w/DJI assistant.

I installed the software on my laptop -was able to calibrate the forward sensor no problem - the next step is to calibrate the downwards sensor - well I can’t seem to line the drone up to a matching line -it appears I am on the boxes virtually perfect but no lock-in… no error messages (no errors when i was flying either for that matter) - after 30 minutes of trying to line up the sensors for the downward- I figured I’d just try from my desktop …

I am running windows 10 on the laptop and 8 on the desktop - the desktop doesn’t seem to see the mavic in the software. It sees it as a connected device but I don’t get to a connection screen on the assistant … i’ve tried running as administrator, reinstaling -disabling a/virus and firewall …

still stuck …

will probably try on my macbook air tomorrow - just thought i’d see if there was any feedback here - -ideas why the downward sensor so hard to line up ??? course maybe this is the issue with it not wanting to land …

I do have the refresh insurance - -just need to see if this is the next step

thanks all!!

Reading though the first part of your post there Bonny, my exact thought was “if the sensor is faulty, you won’t be able to calibrate it?”

And this pretty much confirmed it for me:

Yup, I’d be thinking the exact same thing at this point.

No, absolutely not.

This is a fault - it’s a warranty claim.

Where did you buy it, was it from a high street shop or somewhere like Amazon that make returns / replacements easy?

I bought it from DJI itself -hoping warranty stuff would be easier

There’s no way you should use up your Care Refresh on this, if it is indeed an actual fault (which it’s really looking like).

will try and do the calibration on my Zoom and see how it goes - -if i can do bottom sensor no prob then i know the issue

Today I flew my zoom and it did the same thing as the pro-H didn’t want to land…I use Crystal sky for display. Swapped to my iPad and everything normal. Tried another Android device… moverio glasses on Android 5.1.1 everything normal. Seems there issue is with Crystal Sky. I’ll look and see if another update for Crystal Sky. Definitely the culprit

Annoying - but good to know where the problem is. :+1:

Solved - did a factory restore on the Crystal Sky – everything seems good again!!

Good to know @SpininB :+1:
