Eeeek don’t look good. how that happen? have a cable in when flying?!
Be really hard to replace that… sockets are a pain on any device like that.
Be interesting to see what they say!
Fat fingers
Grass dust filled the socket . No other word for it but lots of small grass bits built up.
Cleaning it out I may have damaged it and made it worse by trying to get the plug in the socket.
Apart from a taking apart the moonlight can think of any other way to fix
Ahh cleaning it… ISO and pressurised air I guess… though that’s hindsight… crap hobby…
I have little USB covers on the USBs for that kind of thing, though they fall out and I don’t replace…
Yep feel like a twat.
I’ve had success straightening this size of pin before
Either very thin tweezers with sharp points or a knob pin.
Get the point positioned where the bent pin leaves the plastic and use that as a lever point to bend the bend pin gently back to straight
Needs delicate hand but is possible
can you source a new socket should be easy enough to remove and replace with a new one
I think it’s worth a shot contacting Caddx. I’ve sent my Gofilm20 back to China twice for a VTX issue and then an FC issue which in the end happymodel fixed as they make the board, but both times they have helped, great customer care.
Ah cool - top tip thanks.
Presume you started with the website contract Contact Us – CADDX FPV?
Yes, that’s the address. They usually get in touch at around 9am Monday - Friday.
