A lot of people being cooked in a field…

Had it a couple of weeks and yeah think it’s the thing I flew the most at the weekend. Cost me 20 quid (second and had never been flown tbh), with motors esc, etc. Had to add the FC and DJI video system.

Farm didn’t mention him…

Very nice couple, I care about them a lot…

:scream:

I got £20 quids worth of enjoyment just watching it scream across the skies of Northants all weekend

I enjoyed flying Callum’s Disco too :airplane:

Got a link to more info on this AR wing @GunjaFPV mate?

Think I need one in my life too.

Heh loved flying it, Ā£20 was for the frame and motors, etc… Added the FC and Video and RX

Obviously I blew the motor Friday as @notveryprettyboy encouraged me to try a 7incgh instead of 5 inch prop! But of course he donated a new motor cos he awesome, and @sirgunner brought a soldering iron so it was airbourne again all weekend, and now I think it’s spot on with whatever motors on (will update the thread below with what’s actually on it)

yeah that thing looked great, I actually have some chase video somewhere for that! So much footage to go through! Glad he recovered it, looked fun!

I actually started (but never continued) the build thread for it

There’s a 1m version pro too now. Think mine was well old (guy from Drone Circle built the frame over a year ago,a nd been gathering dust!)

Martin, when we put the 6ā€ on at the club field the performance was well up and max current was spot on for the motor and ESC combo.
That was optimum, leave it alone :slightly_smiling_face:

Remember what @notveryprettyboy did to his Mobula when he put too big a prop on it and a 6S :laughing:

That was the 7" one

Oh was it 6 inch. Well it’s the same prop that blew it  Hadn’t changed it since you’re place. I may have just been running it at 100% too much! Luckily the ESC was fine!

Just checked the prop it is a 7 x 4.5. Actually Karl had to give me a new one on Friday (same size different direction), as couldn’t reverse the new motor which was backwards from the one I blew! Some reason just wouldn’t connect from BLHeli suite?!

Were you chasing it while it was circling?

Left it in loiter for 10 minutes and looked up to see a quad following it.

Would like to see that.

It’s more just a big lazy wing, not even close to the same level as the AR.

I modded it for long range and used to send it on 1hr way point missions off the Scottish coast.

Oh nice. Maybe it was loitering as seemed ā€œstableā€ ish and easy to follow. Wasn’t a ā€œchaseā€ flight, so not much of it, but will edit the little I have when copy all the 7 millions GB’s of video from the quads. Actually might have already copied that footage as was the O3, which sadly retired early after a visit to @Foley and @FoleyMrs tent  Will let you know!

Turns out was

Turns out was the same flight, so my first poor edit, after davinci optimises it’s media. Have chase, and ā€œlaptopā€ landing, shame no one photographed that! Though I think @bmsleight got the crash on his phone!

Bit cheaper today.

So - having no kit - roughly what’s the cost of all the other kit needed?

depends on a lot of different factors, what FPV gear you put in it is a dramatic price difference.

an O3 Air unit will be £200+ but an analogue VTX can be as little as £15

also what radio link also has an impact on price.
