There was about 12mins left on the battery after a flight on the last day of the Big Meet 2023 so I was just pratting about in ā€œLudicrous Modeā€ with the Autel Evo II Pro (the equivalent of DJIā€™s ā€œSport Modeā€) to burn it off.

Much like DJIā€™s mode, the whole 360Ā° obstacle avoidance sensor system turns itself off in this mode, thought Iā€™d pulled the rear end of the drone around far enough and fast enough to clear the tree.

Clearly not :roll_eyes:

I have no excuse apart from lack of concentration and/or sheer incompetence :pensive:

Credit to Brendan for helping with the recovery.

We used his hoody to traverse the barbed wire and he pushed on when I got stuck in the middle of sharp and stingy foliage.

Bottle of red helped too.

Iā€™ve found time is of the essence. If the battery goes down before you get to the quad then you might never find it. So I tend to rush to get to it. No sauntering! :slight_smile:

Which reminds meā€¦

Once the footy had finished (congrats again @SparkyFPV :smiley: ) a few people trekked off to the neighbouring field in search of firewood, both @callum and @Howard78 were running a few night flights. Howard was in full on stealth mode :dark_sunglasses: and Callum was lighting up half of the borough with the flood light on the bottom of his Mavic 2 :rofl:

But equally as impressive was whoever was flying FPV and doing loops through and over the goal posts in the dark in the middle of the field. Looked amazing :star_struck:
