What happens at the Big Meet stays at the Big Meet [2023]

I got it. Second pass. But the Snail is more about the sound, and the first pass is better.

That think made a right noise. If I did not see it I would think it was some sort of trick video. We were there and the speed that thing goes up. It is hard to think it can do that. Do not let @GunjaFPV try it. Will end up through the tent.

Did not look good when I saw it.

2003 big meet from the ā€œLast man standingā€

THANK YOU TO EVERY BODY… ive never felt so welcome.

To say the weekend was outstanding , be an understatement … We have never pitched up anywhere that has so much atmosphere … thoroughly enjoyed everything… even me pink tutu exercise. I am gobsmacked at what i have learned and the amount of help everybody gave… i can’t thank you all enough…

The only down side were the traveling time due to roadworks and accidents it took over 7 hrs the get back only 150miles , and that dint include stoping, but oh boy was it worth it…  :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

If any won has a hi res pic of me in the pink tutu, could I have a copy please.

If big meet 2024 is on, am I going.

Est-ce qu’un ours chie dans les bois,

Thankyou everybody.

I’d just the to say a massive thank you from everyone involved and there at the weekend. I will forget people I know, but here goes.

I got there at around 10:15 on the Friday, and other than the @Indy-Garden was the last to leave around 19:30 on Sunday!) I flew a pack or two before getting tent pitched up, and got the ā€œmansionā€ up before most others had arrived. Lot’s of flying, crashing, buzzing people with the wing. Learnt how to enjoy the avata, learnt not to hit anything with an avata (having seen what happens when @SparkyFPV brushes up against things).

OK we stayed up far too late around the camp fire drinking till all horus, much fun had.

Was awesome to meet some people for the first time @PingSpike of course (great to put a face to the name, and thanks for everything you do, must be proud of your club), @DeanoG60 boom, sorry if you end up with an FPV wing, @bmsleight - wow mate for such a new guy to FPV you doing so well, and lovely to see a new FPV’er eyes wide open and taking it all in (trust me I don’t let someone I don’t think capable to fly one of my quads, you doing well!) My lovely neighborus @Foley and @FoleyMrs (sorry for nearly killing ONE of you, I don’t think it could have taken you both out  :D) and thanks for the use of your generator. @Indy-Garden well done, so much learnt, and happy to have helped you cancel RTH, rescue your quad and help your wife Sheena fly the mini! @nottsjules nice chatting and have already looked at your socials!

Big thanks to the organisers, @PingSpike , @milkmanchris (awesome lanyards and cards m8), @Njoro , @callum , @Steviegeek (sorry you couldn’t make it, and hope you making a speedy recovery!), and the big man himself @notveryprettyboy .

Special special thanks to @notveryprettyboy (for a spare motor), and @SirGunner (for having a soldering iron), so I could keep the noise level up with the wing and Karl thanks for being the main chucker. @yith, great help having rescue kits, looking for screws, and all the laughter Sat night! @clinkadink , your a star man, that trailer… awesome, the coffee on Saturday (boy I needed that), your (my) bike, the avata jousting on Sunday evening (video to come!), the chats round the fire… Top top
man!

Shame didn’t get any lightning videos despite getting the DJI FPV’s up in the air Sunday evening when the thunder came. Saw plenty of it in the downpours on the 2.5 hour drive home though! Yesterday was a little down after all that adrenaline, but having made a video and a good 2 nights sleep (and a shower of course, boy did I stink!)

Anyways, came back with only 2 things not working (the ZoHD plane, well that’s dead, new airframe me thinks never took off, and half expected that, and yeah the O3 camera not working… onto DJI today about that). So all in all good stuff!

Sorry if forgot anyone, we a great club, bring on 2024!

If it were just the midges I’d be very happy, but its falling over and walking into things when on meds … its like a big Friday night out on the piss, but not so much fun.

Great to meet you Charlie @Indy-Garden. Glad we managed to recover the Mini and impressed that it had no damage too.
Looking forward to seeing you at the next meet!

The props were slightly damaged so I showed @Indy-Garden how to change them and did a test flight after showing him what it looks like at 120m and the other side of the hay fields
