When do I need permission to fly my drone

For some reason it looks different to what I have

iOS v Android, I expect.
But the same options will exist.

I’m on IOS. Does yours look like this.

Basic settings shows
Airspace
Areas of increased risks
Ground hazards
Uper airspace
I click on show advanced switches it shows
Airspace
Areas of increased risks
Class D
Ground hazards
Type CTA
Upper airspace

That’s more Phone v Tablet … same options

My iPhone also shows slightly different to my iPad.

Yes but it doesn’t show areodrome traffic zone (ATZ) or fight restrictions zone or type TRA

Under advanced, you should be able to scroll through all of the options, including those only visible as basic.

It’s not letting me

As long as you’ve found Upper Airspace and Class D Airspace (which your list shows that you have), and switched those off, you can leave the rest as default. :+1:

Ok I’ll do it now :+1:

This is what my iPhone is showing

That’s that done anything else I need to no lol

My iPhone is a crappy 5s and looks different to what my screen says lol

Don’t forget your weather app. UAV FORECAST. And that needs a whole load of settings as per my previous post, or it’ll tell you it’s not good to fly when it’s perfectly safe

Mines a 6 but I’m saving up to get a Samsung on Android, I want to get away from the restrictions that apple put on stuff.

Just downloading the app now

There another called XC weather which I use for paramotoring, this gives a more accurate wind indication and is useful.

Just downloaded the uav app
What do I need to do in settings

Go to Threshold settings and click on it. Then use the slider to set the wind threshold, altitude, min and max temp, cloud cover and precip (rain in English).
