Hi all
Does anyone use this search much (Councils)? It gives some interesting reading, especially the 2 councils in my vicinity (Wirral and Cheshire West). They both came back as not having any byelaws, policies, or PSPO’s that relate to drones (from what they have replied to the FOI requests earlier this year)

I use it all the time.
Great news, enjoy your flights from their land

I checked my local council by-laws and found one ‘recreation ground’ that’s not on the relevant Schedule, so is not covered by the by-law.

Yes, I use the byelaws search a good deal. I mostly fly commercial instructions in and around London and find this search really useful. Thanks to all those who put in so much effort collating the information and making it accessible to us all

Hi all.
I’m reasonably new to drones, bought my first earlier in the year, and now have a couple.
I work for Nottinghamshire County Council, and my interest was initially piqued by getting involved with the Flood Risk Management team, and their use of drones to map areas of risk throughout the year to gain a picture of the local geography.
This developed into a project I am now working on to look at policies etc. for drone usage on NCC land, and this tool has proved invaluable in starting to look at what is currently in place in both the county and its (current) districts.
This tool has proved invaluable so far in gathering information about what currently exists (virtually nothing, thank God!) and what, if anything, needs to be in place going forwards from an Authority perspective.
So thanks, basically, to the people who carried out this project and put it in place for making part of my job so much easier!
Cheers,
Steve.
