Where would the address linked to my DJI account be - if anywhere?

Offshoot from another couple of threads relating to DJI ID, and how I could be tracked down if it was necessary.

I have looked up my DJI account, which has no address details on it.

I have also been directed to https://repair.dji.com/device/detail?lang=en&re=us. which has my drone recorded just fine, but in my address section, it is shown as blank.

Should I be looking somewhere else?

Where are you looking in the fly app ?

Here click service

Then click more services

Then click the hamburger menu

Then click my account scroll down it should have your address in there

The web-based version of @Kirky’s method can be found here:

https://my.dji.com/address

For reasons known only to DJI’s team of web developers it appears to default you to the states, with no address details being available:

Changing that to Europe (because we’re still in it, according to DJI) then reveals your UK address(es).

And from the DJI Service page, there’s another set of addresses to be found at https://repair.dji.com/mycase/myaddress

I’d imagine both of these are dependent on you having either bought something from DJI or having something repaired / replaced by DJI.

Both sets of address data appear to only be delivery addresses.

Remote ID isn’t gonna get you

Aeroscope might though.

Most people are getting caught out posting stuff online or TOAL from their own back gardens

Thank you @Kirky and @PingSpike!

So in summary, I had already looked in the correct places on the web based stuff. I did the DJI Fly app method too, and got the same result. I clearly have not supplied any addresses when I registered my drone, nor have I ever used any repair services that would need me to give an address.

It was the post about the lad who flew near the Police helicopter that got me thinking how can illegal drone flyers to be identified, as I myself have made a stupid mistake which I have mentioned in another post.

Cheers Chris; it doesn’t surprise me that some operators give themselves away with online posts. After the police helicopter post, I started reading up on DJI ID; I did wonder if Aeroscope would be fitted to such aircraft though, but that’s possibly wandering off topic. Thanks for your thoughts!

Show me one person who hasn’t opened the DJI Fly app from their home address

Your IP address, your GPS location from your phone or DJI RC, your email address, every single flight you’ve ever flown, DJI have all your data.

There are many (many) data points that can be used to identify someone.

Postal addresses are so 1999

Policy here is that you are not policed and are not reported for trangressions, but if you fly according to the CAA Drone Code you shouldn’t be in any trouble in the first place, and shouldn’t need to worry about being ‘tracked down’, Airdata will prove your innocence. surely, won’t it?
