Could not make it to the meet on Sunday - but managed to find a new bunch of trees late in the afternoon and they made my day
some more work to make those ‘fly it like you stole it’ lines somehow cinematic though

Thanks for sharing the vid, great skills, fun to watch - which drone were you using, please?
Thank you - nice to see all the time spent in the sim is paying off
Here are the details of the quad I was using (custom build)

Thanks, interesting to see what people are using. fpv is not my bag but I do respect the skill and dedication it requires
What’s the angle of your camera there?
25 degrees
Cool.
What sort of cruising speed can you get with that angle?
Nice flying btw
It will really depend on drone total weight (battery size, action cam or not) and the pitch angle while flying.
As flown here - drone is 750g total (1400mAh 6S bat + action 2 cam)
With a 25 deg camera angle - I can see where I am going for any pitch between say 0 and 50 deg
This allows me to cruise anywhere between 0 and maybe 100mph (will not be able to sustain 100mph for very long as battery will likely last a couple of mn max)
Ok, well I am trying to find the sweet spot for my camera, so that’s why I ask.
The first 10 seconds of your video, and also when you fly over the pathway (really cool that part) , show the kind of thing I am trying to achieve…constant altitude at a nice speed while I see where I’m going.
My quad is around 680g, no action camera
I did upload the goggle stream with the OSD of the flight so you can see speed and throttle position (bottom left)
Cool thanks for the video
Ok I feel that keeping the center of your FOV straight ahead allows you cruising around 70-80 km/h?
Obviously you can add more pitch to go faster and still see what’s ahead of you.
Those OSD icons, is it INAV?
Sounds about right
These are the Walksnail OSD icons (video system) - I am on Betaflight
