Whooping the Old Lifeboat Station

This was an absolutely fantastic spot on the near deserted beach at Tenby in Pembrokeshire.

The old lifeboat station has now been replaced with a swanky new version right next to it and the two together and the beach / cliffs makes for a fairly epic location.

I was going to add this one to Dronescene for @group-fpv to discover, but have today found out that the abandoned lifeboat station isn’t quite as abandoned as I thought. :man_facepalming: In fact, its conversion featured on Grand Designs a few years ago and is now a fairly bonkers residential property. (In my defence it looked pretty well shuttered up when I was there but yeah, this place is actually someone’s house! :exploding_head:)

I watched that Grand Designs, the slipway was one hell of an issue to overcome.

They use it as a holiday home, not a full time residence.

Random fact, I used to be an ice cream van man on that beach.

Wow. Nice holiday home! It did look empty when we were there.

Best summer job I had was an Ice cream van operator.

You never lived unless you raced ice cream vans.
