It really does not matter , and merging topics into an existing topic does keep things clean and tidy. I say this as i am VERY guilty of this. Good thing is any topic that has been “merged” will always "re-emerge " ,so no worries !!!

Is there a “merged post” badge. I could find a recent post, start a new one about the same topic and then get a badge !!!
Or just open a new thread on a drone in a bowling alley.
