I wasn’t sure if ppl were still interested in actually flying with talk of dust and the uncertainty of the timing, weather etc. Nonetheless, Wigg or Spike should provide a decent ground level view of the demolition although judging by the bonfire night fireworks, Spike could be very very busy and was an absolute nightmare to park. TBH the best location would be to the North, looking South as its the 4 North towers that are coming down but I can’t really think of a spot that would be accessible by car.and not rammed. Still giving it some thought and post if a ureka moment pops up. But are ppl still interested in Wigg between 8 & 12 in the absence of any other suggestions?
We are still interested, Wigg island affords reasonable vioews with the AIR3 Zoom, and is far enough away that it may not be too busy… Happy to meet up with folks and to use another site if needed…
This looks good, plenty of street parking, and you could take off from here too.
We are happy with Wigg island to meet up and try to get our usual bench place. I think it might get busy later on but who knows.

Weather looks good, 1-2 mph winds, clear and sunny but cold, 0 to 3C, wrap up warm and bring a flask…
Can always stop somewhetre for an FPV fly on the way back, Wigan? Or Lymm?

Really would like to meet up again, but the urge to get a bit closer to the event is tough to ignore
Think im going to take my pushbike along the TPT that runs just to the south of the site, and take my chances on any restrictions in place on the day…its going to be a cold one!

No worries, I am aiming to be at Wigg island for about 8am, possibly a little earlier, happy to meet up with anyone before the main event… Hav ethought about where to fly from, tbh I think having the bridge in shot with the AIR3 - which will have 4 strobes on it flashing to ensure it is fully visible to anyone else flying - will work for me… Could get closer, but as I can capture it from there then I dont have a need to… I have filed a flight report on DS…
I noticed a flight report, we aim to get there between 7am and 8am, not sure if I will fly the drones, but it would be great to see the towers come down.

Yup, I thought it only prudent to add one for us as there is another few reports on there too, one above the towers… Up to you as to whether you fly… I will be taking all 3, want to play with the AVATA early in the morning…
