Will this 24,000mAh Anker 737 Power Bank recharge my 3 x Mini 4 Pro batteries 3 times?

I am looking for something I can use when out and about, to recharge my Mini 4 Pro batteries. Id like to recharge the set of 3 of them, 3 times.

I saw this: https://amzn.eu/d/aCbrRuV
In my simple brain this is 24,000mAh, and the batteries are only 2,590mAh. I need to charge 9 batteries therefor 9 x 2,590 = 23,310
Im sure its not as simple as that, but will this kind of do the job?

Any other suggestions welcome!

I’ll stop you there

It’ll be 24k mAh on paper, or in a lab with the most perfect of ambient temperatures and 101 other factors. In the real world you can probably safely take 10-20% off that number.

That picture looks familiar too… didn’t @OzoneVibe or @SparkyFPV have a thread on this exact power bank not too long ago?

I have one of those - it’s actually pretty accurate.

I did search for ‘Power Bank’ but couldn’t find anything relevant/recent
But I’m sure someone I just about to prove me wrong!

Not a thread - it was in Today I treated myself to this somewhere.

Would you recommend it?

Yeah I’m not scrolling 9,400 posts to find it either

Anker make solid kit :bowing_man:t2:

I’ve got three or four of their small power banks (not this specific model) and I can’t fault them at all. I’d probably pick Anker over any other brand for this kind of thing.

As a power bank - absolutely! Does rapid charging - both in (with a suitable mains USB charger) and out. Not used it for charging DJI drone batteries - my MP batteries are not USB chargable.

I seem to recall @SparkyFPV was using it for that, though, with satisfactory results.

550g, as I reacall.

I have two of those Anker 737s for near continuous flying when needed. Trick is to also have a fast charger otherwise you are waiting all day for the stock dji one that comes with the fly more kit. I have two batteries on the charger and one in the drone in circulation. I only fly to 40ish% on the batteries and it seems to work well for me.

Make sure if you get that power bank to plug into the second USB C port not the first or you draw power the other way and your depleted drone batteries will charge the power bank. Caught me out the first time. Great apart from that.

Thanks … that’s very helpful

Can you point me in the right direction for the fast charger you mentioned?
I probably will not need it as it’s likely to be short periods of activity, with long gaps in between …. But no where near a power source!

How may batteries do you think you charge with a single 737?

There’s an ankar one on Amazon at the minute 100w

USB C Plug, Anker 100W USB C… https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09Q5W5H47?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Also with this charging cable

Ocetea USB C to USB C Charger… https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BJZ5WY9J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

The cable shows the watts that are going in, my battery hubs for the air takes about 57w and my mini 3 takes about 28w

Would highly recommend can charge batteries and RC at the same time too. Taken my charge time from about 5 hrs to 2 hours

I think 3 and a bit from nearly empty, one day I should test it but I know charging batteries from other batteries there are some big losses involved. Like I said I dont tend to go much lower than 40% because most of my flying is near or over water. Due to what I film and tides etc… I tend to fly continuously for a few hours with very few breaks.

That charger is the Lyongtech for mini 3 pro which says it also does 4 pro (amazon). Also does storage charging to 60% which is a bit nicer for the batteries if youre going to put the drone away for a bit.

No! Battery charging is far from 100% efficient, both the power pack and drone batteries become warm when charging / discharging - that’s lost energy.
I would go tor at least double the capacity of power pack, also rechargeable batteries lose capacity over time.
The other important consideration is number of Watts your battery pack can supply, my Mini 3 charger needs 30W from a PD compatible charger to charge at full speed.
The Anker 24K does a great job (i have one) but you will need a couple to get the number of charges you want.
