I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:
Wilton Bridge is a Grade I listed bridge crossing the River Wye between Wilton and Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England. The bridge was authorised in 1597 and completed two years later. One of the arches was destroyed during the English Civil War.
The bridge was widened and reinforced with concrete in 1914. A sundial was added in the early 18th century (its just visible sticking up above the parapet over the central arch in my photo)
Just visible to the right of the frame is the distinctive Ross-on-Wye skyline
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 06/04/2025. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.

I’ve flown here too @gasbag43
Mine was not as nice a day but still decent for a quick fly by and snap. And, I just realised, mine is from the opposite side, although I think my takeoff point was pretty much the same as yours.

Its a nice spot, close enough to the centre of town but far enough out to get away from the gaggles of visitors that pack it out when the sun comes out.
There’s a really nice pub in your shot just the other side of the bridge (the White Lion). Decent size beer garden backing on to the river. It’s the meeting point for me and my siblings when we get together 3-4 times a year as we converge from the Midlands, Cotswolds, South West and Wales.
Have just added it as a “food and drink” location on Dronescene

Nice… I was on my way to Bromsgrove to spend some time with friends so used it as a half way stretch of my legs thing.
Used to almost daily pass to and through Ross way back in my field days. Know it well.
