Any body know who is the best person/company to contact to get my X5 gimbal fixed? The Inspire Pro decided to have a spasm this afternoon and ended up with a bit of a hard landing. Gimbal mounting snapped (fixed that already), but the top gimbal motor’s rubber ducked I think. I get the message that “the lens is disconnected” on the screen.

Are they open Saturdays? If not I’ll give them a bell on Monday. First bloody time out, on my 3rd battery, and I broke a blade (very expensive blade)
Before you do though, are the two ribbon cables ok from the gimbal mount to the drone itself?
Have you got an X3 or other camera to test with?
Yeah, works perfect with X3. There’s play in the top gimbal motor as if something’s snapped or broke loose. All of the other motors seem OK. If you give the camera a little lift, it works for as long as there’s no load on the motor, let it go to it’s own level and it stalls again.

I’ve just looked and the suggested repair cost is £1320! I think that’s for a new camera, only needs a yaw motor replcement. I’ll see if they’re open in the morning, obviously mentioning the discount code!

Bit expensive if it’s just a yaw motor repair needed. The missus has booked a plumber to re do the bathroom, that’s gonna cost me nearly 3 grand. Plus, I only paid 750 for the Inspire with the camera!

Contacted Drone Doctor, who says they send the X5s back to DJI. They sent an X5 back last week for a roll motor repair and the estimate was between £200 and £250 and mine would be somewhere near that. Obviously it would be more expensive if there’s anything else wrong.
In the meantime, I bought an Osmo from ebay, with X5, X3 all the other gear and case for £470. If it was anybody on here bidding, I’m sorry but needs must!
