That should be fine, my flight planning app shows nothing to affect overflying that area at the time you’ll be there. Assuming there’s no delays or problems with the aircraft I’ll see you then, remaining above 1000 ft at all times for seperation.
Ohhhhhh!
You meant literally
Best keep my wing on a leash then
@GreyFive, Just out of curiosity, can you actually see our flight report for this meet on any of your real world flight planning software for real aviation?
always wondered if general aviation actually even sees our flight reports as drone pilots?
@DeanoG60, a warning regarding this particular meeting is not shown at the moment on the software that I use but that might change as we approach the weekend, I’ll keep a check on it.
UAS flights often do show up in GA NOTAMs, here are the ones listed on Sunday in the vicinity:
This might require it’s own thread but this is kinda what I suspected. Drone flight reports are not NOTAMs I’m guessing that commercial flights would register NOTAMs but us hobbyist pilots just log flight reports.
Intresting that it isn’t showing at the moment, and to be honest I’m not convinced that it will show when it is actually active. I could be wrong (I hope I am) if it doesn’t show on sunday when it’s active I kinda feel it’s a complete waste of time actually logging a report in the first place… I guess it lets other hobbyist drone pilots know about the intended flight…
Very interesting. Thanks for the insite.
On one particular app if you file a flight plan which if approved will raise a notam
I’m not sure they would
Since NATS pulled out of funding / backing the old Drone Assist app a few years ago, I have to agree
Which app is that, Howard? Are we missing a trick with Drone Scene here?
Yeah, probably
I thought drone assist did but maybe I got that wrong
Would be good if drone scene did though
Ah, sadly it doesn’t
The good news there though, is that Drone Scene is not missing a trick as it too can submit Flight Reports
Like the one I submitted above
Making the most of the weather (solar hooked up)
Charging for tomorrow for free, if anyone wants to see the EcoFlow in action I’ll have it with me tomorrow
Let’s say I do make it over to you tomorrow afternoon, what’s a sensible and realistic altitude I need to stay above for clearance - I’m thinking >1500 ft to be sure?
Fuck me Chris and i was happy buying a car charger
I’ll ask again
Probably late morning or lunchtime
Cafe opens at 10 i hope
Rang them yesterday and they said so, if not there is one in Barton as well as Greggs up at the A15 roundabout ;o)
Will @mickydd settle for a Greggs
