095201 is a beauty
Oh, don’t start us on a mole hunt again.
We are still getting grief over the shootings during that abandoned Birthday Challenge a few years ago.

For some reason I like to always get an entry in early… I guess I’m not one to keep wanting to go back and tinker…
Anyway… Private Road on the Moors near Owler Bar near Sheffield…
Fast and Low FPV.
Filmed this evening in high winds with my Diatone Roma F4 and Runcam Thumb.
Drone: Mini 2
Location: Willington, Derbyshire. A GADC Classic location. The Disused cooling towers of Willington ‘B’ Power Station. B Station closed in 1999. Although most of the station was demolished at the turn of the millennium, the five cooling towers continue to dominate the skyline of the local area.
Taken: today 5pm ish.
Not sure how authentic this is.
Shouldn’t there be lots of bits of crashed FPVs at the bottom?

A quick trip up to Robin Hood’s Stride this evening.
Taken with the Mavic Mini around 7.50pm
Robin Hood’s Stride is a rock formation on the Limestone Way in Derbyshire close to the village of Elton. It consists of gritstone boulders deeply seamed by water flows.
Somewhere I had considered for an FPV entry… My wife did suggest the cooling towers, but I’ve done it too many times now in FPV…
Yeah. I decided against it for those basic reasons.
I was going to put as my information on location that the most significant thing about the photo was that no other drones were whizzing around at the same time!
My grandparents used to live & bowl in Thornton Cleveleys after they retired there from Sale Manchester. Lovely shot ![]()
How’d you get access to the chimney, when visited last year ish’ the area was all fenced off?
Climbed through a very small gap

There’s plenty of pictures on Instagram of people taking photos within the site so it can’t be that hard to get access. Although I neither had the time or inclination on either of my visits. Plus the majority of the actual site is within Derby FRZ and I couldn’t be arsed getting permission to enter it. Not that the DJI Fly app complains about it bizarrely.
