This weekend sees the BDF & BMFA Northern Area Flight Fest & Drone Zone taking place, all are welcome to come along to meet other drone and model aircraft flyers, the event is hosted by the Pontefract & District Aeromodellers Club, location is Pontefract Park. There is a dedicated area for flying drones, we will also be setting up a small FPV track for those that want to fly around a course for fun. Refreshments available and there are also toilets on site.

From 10am both days.

There will also be an opportunity for anyone who wishes to try flying a radio controlled aeroplane.

A cracking day today,we spoke to quite a few interested people about safe, lawful and considerate drone flying, we made a few converts too!

Also had fun flying oir Moni2s around oir FPV track.

We do it all again tomorrow of anyone wants to join us.

How many turned up ? Last time I flew down at ponte park the beardies tutted me away :frowning:

We had a steady stream of people call by through the day gave around 30 experience flights.
