Thank goodness for Very and their 20% welcome discount. I might regret not splashing out more on the Mini 5, but I’m guessing I’m going to be in enough trouble already .
That’s a great price for an excellent, tried and tested drone - I doubt you’ll regret it! Is the Mini 5 better? Behind the marketing spiel, only marginally; low light photography (but the difference will be negligible in daylight), slightly better wind resistance and an additional panorama mode. No, you’ve probably got the best bang for your buck you could get for a C0 class drone. Enjoy!
Hmmm Undoubtedly a better drone, but as it’s very new, people are finding software bugs with the updates so far. Spotlight not working in cine mode unless obstacle avoidance is turned off is the one that comes to mind at the moment. I’m sure that down the line software bugs will eventually be fixed, but as with previous drones, one fix seems to cause other bugs. DJI should thoroughly test these “fixes” before releasing them.
It’s a Fly App issue I understand, along with a Waypoint issue. The mini 4 Pro has the same problem, I"m told, but not confirmed myself as I rarily use Cine mode.
Like Colin, I don’t update straight away when an update shows up. I wait until an update review goes up on YouTube. I still say DJI should fully test these updates to check for possible problems, before releasing them to drone users. The recent update to the Mini 5 Pro clearly shows they didn’t fully test it.
Clearly not John, but I guess there is only so much real world testing you can do and there is a fine line between making a timely profit and maintaining an imacculate reputation. Let’s face it, DJI’s reputation as a market leader in the world of drones is pretty much second to non, and I don’t suppose they are particularly worried about hacking off the odd customer or two!
Hmmm not sure Colin. They’ve probably sold thousands of the new Mini 5 Pro by now. If all those owners, update that’s more than a few customers. Strange that these reviewers on YouTube find the faults/ bugs with only one outing. I’m sure they just test the same sort of things that DJI should be testing. ( just my humble opinion )
