I don’t use glue, I did try hairspray when I had the mirror but found the mirror was just as good on its own.
I now use an Anycubic Ultrabase and give it a good clean with isopropyl alcohol before printing.

“Any links”

Mine is a 300 x 300

Right so the contact adhesive is for the bed?

Anything else I’m going to need?

Larger house?

PLA, although mine came with a 1Kg, you might as well register for Autodesk Fusion 360. How good is your PC?

You’ll love this venture Callum…

The listing mentioned it comes with PLA and ABS. I’ll order some more just in case.

It’s a year old gaming laptop. Quad i7, 32GB ram, 8gb gtx980.

I’ll look into Autodesk fusion 360

Ahhh I see, thanks, am on basilica glass but I get better prints with glue and a cold bed. I’ve not really pushed hot bed printing to be honest.

More than enough, it will also run Autodesk Inventor Proffessional 2019.

Just register for the student versions, there’s limitations but it’s free.

Get a good set of automotive feeler gauges, they are better than a piece of paper for levelling the bed…:facepunch:

I should have a new set of feelers somewhere that I keep forgetting to take in to work :+1: Might just order more as I cant be arsed searching.

What about the bed? do i need to order glass or something?

You’ll get everything you need in the box for now Callum, you can upgrade as and when you feel the need.

It wouldn’t do any harm if you wanted to, but there’s no rush, I have a custom made bed that I made, it uses double sided copper clad PCB glued down to the Ali plate with 3M scotch mount and topped with glass which is also 3M’ed too. These are all mods that came to light from having the printer in the first six months.

Just take your time to learn your printer then take the next steps.
The R visible in the picture is to let you know Right from Left when setting up which nozzle to use…

Nearly forgot, the printer comes with spool holders, they are rubbish, there’s lots on thingiverse specifically for CTC but I opted for two storage boxes, M8 threaded rod 2 bearing and washers.

Traaaaaa…:sunglasses:
