8K@60fps

So how does it play 8k anything ?

Because there isn’t a codec for 8k

To paraphrase Adobe, who know more than most about digital video, 8K is a waste of time, effort and money apart from a few niche applications.

Like 3D, Betamax, HD-DVD and Wankel, 8K is a passing fad. At the consumer level, 8K TVs will soon cease to exist: not only is there no 8K content (and no studios rushing to produce any) but there is, say Adobe, no discernible benefit from watching video at 8K compared to 4K.

On top of that, home-made 8K video is technically impossible for almost everyone to edit or view (including the folk who made it). And even the tiny minority who can view 8K video on Youtube are seeing a highly compressed video which has likely been recompressed several times and is therefore full of artifacts.

My advice would be not to invest in 8K at all because such TVs, cameras and drones are likely to be consigned to history soon. Imho. And Adobe’s.

Aw thanks very much for letting me know
Is it worth watching. Did it offer it @60fps ?

Only down side is the shadows are very noisy, could be YT though. looking at the mountains in the first half though :heart_eyes: clear as glass.

I’ve been asked why do a 8k video !!!

Some people own cars that’s speedo’s read 150mph and some will try to reach it.
Why because that’s what people do,
see if they can take it to the max.

Sorry, my bad for the confusion,

I’m only running full 4K PC set up, but your video played in the 8K option with no problems.

🤦🏽 Super clear though, so I’m guessing there’s some upscaling going on somewhere.

Or just shoot some 50mph footage and ramp the speed up 300%
